Durable, soft, and light-weight "plain weave" with a nice luster. Woven from smooth spun (not reeled) silk. Spun yarns are mostly from the thickest fibre on the outer part of the cocoon, and from breeder cocoons, so this fabric contains some Peace silk, and is especially durable.
I have always preferred the hand of spun silk (staple silk yarns) to that of reeled silk.
