Workshop for April, 2007

Workshop size:
6 students.

Gabriel from the workshop in April of 2007

Here is Gabriel showing off all the colours we dyed. As you can see, each student learns how to create a wide variety of colours. But there is always room for experimentation.

Tabitha Williams experimenting with Brazilwood over her natural auburn, blonde, brown hair.

Tabitha Williams, allowing Cheryl and her students to experiment with Brazilwood on her hair. We did not mordant the hair at all, and the colour lasted about 4 weeks.

The results of a dye bath on Tabitha's hair.

As you can see, where the hair was actually dyed, the colour is bright red and just beautiful, this was before we developed our formula for natural hair dyeing, so we had to just put the hair in a dyepot.

Here is Debrah Ruffin from Hawii showing off her beautiful shibouri.

Here is Debrah Ruffin showing off her beautiful shibouri handwork. This is a special technique that Cheryl teaches all her students.

These workshops are designed to be friendly, informative, and overall, fun! We love having the workshops, and we know you love attending!
