I wanted to let you know about the silk hair conditioner. It's great!! ... [my hair] is controllable now and feels nice and soft. I had to stop colouring my hair due to a severe allergy (which just started happening one day) to the dye and I also can't use a lot of shampoos and conditioners because of the allergy. I would suggest [this shampoo/conditioner] to anyone especially with a sensitive scalp.

Conditioner that simply adds pure silk "sericin" to your hair. Most people don't know this, but the silk as it comes raw from the silkworm, is actually two different "silks". One is the fibre we all think of as silk, but the other is a protein coating that protects this fibre core. What is offered here is a simple soap solution of this protein coat, called "sericin". When you use sericin on your hair, it is absorbed, adding into your hair the strength of the original silk coating.

"I most noticed the difference in my split end problem. The sericin plastered down the ends and finally my hair actually got longer!" - Cheryl, after the first year of testing this amazing new invention of a natural product, on herself.

This product is pure sericin and soap. One treatment lasts up to several weeks with simple water rinsing between treatments. Amount needed per treatment depends on amount of hair. ½ to 1 oz is average.

We have found, thru user reports:

  • It gives strength and body to fine hair. And a nice sheen.
  • Thick, kinky hair becomes softer and more manageable.
  • Generally best results: let the conditioner stay on for 2 to 15 minutes before rinsing, and comb out hair while still damp. (Everyone's hair is different, so how long to leave the conditioner in before rinsing has to be deterimined by use.)
  • Prevents and reverses damage from sunlight, chlorine, salt sea water and chemical treatments.

Available exclusively from Aurora Silk, our pure 100% "Peace Silk" sericin is dissolved in a base of Dr. Bronners soap and water. Only ours is from organic Peace silk cocoons raised by hand with much Love by Cheryl Kolander and/or Connie Van Dyke in Portland, Oregon. Other commercial products include only small amounts of sericin ("hydrolyzed silk" or "silk protein") while they play off advertising it boldly.
