Farmer Friendly”  100% natural cotton, the intense blue of natural indigo is naturally hand dyed using the ancient 100% naturally fermention method, practiced and promoted by Cheryl Kolander, who IS Aurora Silk. (and is the model above.)

This special LIMITED EDITION outfit is created in 100% natural “Farmer Friendly”™ Cotton from small farms in rural India.  The yarn is spun on small hand tended equipment, then handwoven in village homes.  It is called “KHADI” cotton meaning “homemade”.

The Indigo used to dye these outfits is 100% organically grown on a women’s micro farm project in El Salvador.  Aurora Silk receives this Indigo thru a chain of empowered women.    This Indigo is so pure it is “cosmetic grade”: useable for the true Kohl eye liner.

It is the strongest and purest Indigo I have ever encountered in 40 years of professional Natural dyework” – Cheryl.

The dye process used to turn our Khadi into therapeutic “Peace Blue” ™  is 100% natural.  Only washing soda, wheat bran and the medicinal Madder root are used to ferment our pure Indigo.  Cheryl is the Western World expert on the Natural Fermentation Indigo vat, so our “Peace Blue” is the finest deep true Indigo blue on the planet.

Sewn by a small, clean light and airy factory in one of the smaller cities of India.  The sewing has been done with a polyester thread that resists the dye, thus creating an accent line along all seams.

Sized exactly the same as the “Miracle Worker Jacket” and our “Comfey Pants”.

A nice belt will turn the top into a wrap dress.  Otherwise, a t-shirt, blouse or mini dress may be added to complete the outfit.

Therapeutic aspects:  Indigo is a skin food that helps protect from insects and parasites.  It’s use in this regard includes the blue body paint of the Pics and Scots, and the Tuareg desert nomads who protect themselves from everything swadled in great flowing Indigo cotton robes.
