Semi sheer and exceptionally shiney, this particular tussah fabric is woven from reeled tussah, which is very rare. Being Tussah, which is a wild silk, it is remarkably strong, tough and durable for such a light weight fabric. Being reeled it is luminescently sheeny as only reeled, filament silk can be.
The colour is a very light, almost pastel sage that reminds me of the broom sage that grows in the deserts of Eastern Oregon when the light is sumertime-strong and the dusty silvery green luminesces and scintilates in the sun. - Cheryl
Woven on antique looms in a small mill in India. Never perfectly regular, the variations in weave give a distinct hand-woven look to this unique fabric.
