This truly is a one-of-a-kind, super eco-friendly fabric. This cotton is made from the waste threads of other fabrics. The threads are naturally dyed with local Indian dyes: mungeet, myrobalans, various barks and some flowers. This fabric has contrasting borders (selvages) that can be cut into trim or incorporated as a design element. This is a very popular fabric for mens shirts, and would also make wonderfully light skirts, blouses, or dresses. Another great use for this fabric is a decorative wall hanging. A panel stretched tight would show the wonderful variegations in the warm toned fabric. Each bolt is different, so it is best to order all the yardage you need at one time if color matching is an issue. Five naturally dyed shades available: Lavendered Tones is a redish violet, Rust Reds is an orange/red, Light Russets is a light red, Rich Red is a deep Ruby Red and Bark Browns is a medium earthy brown.
