Homespun, handwoven, exceptionally unusual, dark and rustic wild silk. The colour is most remarkable: a dark fawn to medium brown, with speckles or "noils" of both light and dark wild silks. These are all natural shades of various rare wild silk moths native only to one area of India.
Homespun singles yarns both warp and weft. Water wash and it fluffs up to light blanker weight. I call it "Dervish Cloth" because a Dervish, that is a wandering, more-or-less aescetic,(or at least simple living,) devoted Sufi would be very comfortable in a wrap blanket garment of this fabric. Makes a stunning, warm and comfortable wrap skirt. Ditto for work-out or sport pants.
Can be used for upholstery, if backed, or for slip-covers. And makes a nice sport jacket (in that case, dry clean only to preserve the flat weave and fitted garment shape).

Alternate care: Dry clean to preserve the flat finish, and for any cut and pieced garment, so it won't shrink.
