ALL SILK VELVET
WHEN HAVE I LAST SEEN 100% SILK VELVET?

Actually, in 63 years I have never seen it for sale before!

Machine woven of reeled cultivated silk, very even and standard. Because the weave is so tight, this is a most durable velvet. Dyes beautifully. Drapes incredibly, especially when cut on the bias.

All the "silk" velvet I've seen on the market has been RAYON pile inserted into a woven silk back.

The Dark Blue Velvet had been hand dyed with the finest cosmetic grade Indigo from El Salvador women's project. Naturally fermented and dyed at the Aurora Silk Studio in Portland, Oregon, by American Natural Indigo Dye Master Will Stanley, under direct supervision of Cheryl Kolander, World Master of Natural Indigo dyeing.
