Chrome mordant is potassium or sodium bi-chromate.  It is a strong oxidizer and must be handled with care.  Please read the article “The Problem of Chrome” before purchasing this product.

Colours dyed on a Chrome mordant are exceptionally permanent both to light and to washing.

Keep away from children.  Do not dump used mordant solution, but store for re-use.  Recharge chrome mordant bath by adding ¾ the usual amount (that is, assume the ¼ of what you last used is still there).  Always keep bath covered.  Always wear gloves, such as dishwashing gloves, when working with any mordant.
