Cheryl Kolander, Master Dyer

Cheryl Kolander Cheryl Kolander has over 30 years of professional experience in the art of Natural Dyeing.

She is the author of A Silkworker's Notebook, covering all aspects of working with silk. This book is now available in it's third reprinting as a collector's edition.

She has also authored Hemp! for Textile Artists, the only book written so far on the subject of textile hemp.

She is available to teach workshops or for individualized instruction in her home studio. She also does phone consulting at a rate of $60/hour.

Cheryl is also involved in an extensive project in the Dominican Republic with Mama D.O.C. to create economically and ecologically sustainable Logwood harvesting to benefit the last remaining group of native Indians.
