This exceptional fabric is a blend of tussah (wild) silk weft, crossing a cultivated spun silk warp. The weft contains naturally coloured cinnamon silk noils (slubs and accents), to make an especially pretty, softly speckled fabric. Both warp and weft yarns have slubs and variations, which give this fabric a visually delightful, rustic look.
When water washed, this fabric fluffs up and makes a lightweight but very warm fabric. It is especially nice for baby receiving blankets, and soft, comfortable lounge wear.
