This yarn is spun in Europe from fibre semi-cultivated in China. As far as we know, the semi-cultivation of Tussah silk in China is done according to organic standards. The oak trees are not sprayed (as this would kill the silkworms) and the strains raised are from the wild and not genetically engineered. Also, as most of the cocoons are free-emergent, this yarn can be considered at least 50% Peace silk.
