Our seedlings are of the variety Morus alba, tatarica. They are a very hardy strain of white mulberry. Trees have been in my garden for at least two years and have been used to feed my silkworms. Leaf form varies from large and heartshaped to "cut leaf" lace. All are good silkworm food. This variety has separate male and female plants. Only the females make berries. Plant several to be sure of at least one berry producer.
NOTE: Trees can only be shipped within the continental U.S.
5 small seedlings 2 years old, ½ inch or more in diameter
3 medium seedlings 3 years or more old, ¾ inch or more in diameter
3 large seedlings 4 years or more old, 1 inch or more in diameter
These seeds have hibernated and are ready to plant. (Note - in cold climates, plant in the spring. Expect three years to establish.) Strong strain, excellent germination at field trials in the Dominican Republic. These seeds are for the White Mulberry tree, Morus alba.
NOTE: Seeds can only be shipped within the U.S.

Mulberry trees like full sun or partial shade. They need a little water in the summer for the first few years. Their final size if not cut back is about 15 feet by 15 feet, but they'll stay smaller if you cut them back each summer to feed the silk worms.
Mulberry trees make lots of tasty small berries starting in the fourth year after planting - great for jam or to attract birds.
