All hand wild crafted! Pulled plants from the foothills of the Himalyan Mountains that ring the valley of Nepal. Hand processed in small villages.
Hand spun. The hemp yarn is the lighter of the two balls in the picture.* IT IS THE SAME YARN THAT IS USED TO WEAVE THE "RUSTIQUE" HEMP FABRIC.
The fibres are the longest available anywhere. They range up to several feet! If you are looking for bowstring material, this is the yarn to try.
Dark beige in colour. The spinning is quite regular, and the balls are charmingly wound. Each ball may vary, with the thread being aprox. 1 milimeter in diameter, or about 2 milimeters - so specify "thick, thin, medium, or mixed" and I'll do my best to pick out your preference from what is in stock.
Balls are about 3" in diameter.
